I have been reading a great book by bassist Victor Wooten. It is The Music Lesson: A Spiritual Search for Growth Through Music. The author is a Grammy Award-winning musician who combines a message of music and life. He offers thoughts on one's approach to practice, performance, and music reading. While presenting ideas on music, he offers parallel thoughts on life. It's a great read for anyone interested in music and the work and talent it takes to be a better musician.
