Choir is off to a great start! We are learning all 450 singers' names, and we are singing exciting new literature. Our songs include African-American spirituals, madrigals, folk songs, and music theater pieces. One of our favorites is an avant-garde piece for speech choir that memorializes 9/11 victims. New choir director Grace Bielski has introduced us to a new set of warmups. South Select made their debut singing the National Anthem on Friday morning for the the entire student body. Everyone is looking forward to our first concert of the year on Wednesday November 4.
