Sleeping in agreed with our campers today. All were refreshed and ready to go, eager to show off the work accomplished at Saturday’s evening session. They were right to be pleased. Much was accomplished and our BC staff was impressed with the progress.
Proud of their fellow Broadway Company members, seniors presented kudos (and a Kudos granola bar) to those who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in dance, attitude or leadership. Presentations will continue as our senior leadership corps recognizes exceptional effort.
Scott Michaels, our choreographer, revealed more of his genius as he put together a number featuring the dance corps. Basketballs, jump ropes, punches and lunges are all featured prominently.
While the dancers sweated, the rest of the Company rehearsed vocal numbers, participated in a get-to-know-you game, and worked to make the bagels disappear. (Thank you to our parents for breakfast everyday. It is a welcome treat.) While a few of us finished up early, leading characters remained to work on voice parts.
The party is at the Christianson House tonight, with dancers squeezing in one more rehearsal at the Darrow House before they arrive at the party. Then a good night’s rest before an 8:00 call (7:45 Lombardi time) tomorrow.
